Rodeo Austin features ProRodeo’s top cowboys and animal athletes in two formats.

Rough Stock, Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping Format: The top 88 athletes in each event compete over 11 performances, March 14th – March 24th. The top 24 highest scores and fastest times will come back to compete in the Playoff Round, March 25th – March 27th. The top 8 athletes from the Playoff Round will make it back to the ProRodeo Finals on March 28th, with the highest score and fastest time in the Finals being crowned Rodeo Austin Champion.

Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Tie-Down Roping Format: The top 63 athletes in each event compete in two go-rounds in back-to-back performances, March 14th – March 27th. The top 12 fastest aggregate times will come back to compete in the ProRodeo Finals on March 28th. The Rodeo Austin Champion will be determined by the fastest aggregate time on 3 runs.
