HOURS OF OPERATION

BBQ AUSTIN IS MARCH 1 – 2, 2024

Cook-off Hours of Operation
Friday, March 1st: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday, March 2nd: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Carnival Hours of Operation
Friday, March 1st: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday, March 2nd: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM

RODEO AUSTIN IS MARCH 8 – 23, 2024

Fairgrounds Hours of Operation
March 8th: Opens at 3:00 PM
March 9th – 23rd: Opens at 10:00 AM

ProRodeo & Concert Performances
March 9th – 23rd: Performances begin at 7:00 PM Monday – Saturday and 3:00 PM on Sunday

Main Arena doors open one hour prior to the start time. Performances last around three hours.

Carnival Hours of Operation
Friday, March 8th: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday, March 9th – Sunday, March 17th: 11:00 AM to close
Monday, March 18th – Friday, March 22nd: 4:00 PM to close
Saturday, March 23rd: 11:00 AM to close

Carnival opening time varies by day. Carnival closing time is subject to change without notice. For the safety of our guests, rides are subject to closure due to weather.

HOW TO BUY TICKETS

Tickets can be purchased online by clicking BUY TICKETS.

Tickets can also be purchased on-site at the ticket windows during operating hours. Cars that enter to purchase tickets will be subject to the parking fee.

Children 2 years old and younger are granted free Fairgrounds admission and free ProRodeo & Concert admission if seated on a parent’s lap. Children 2 years old and younger will be subject to Carnival ride fees.

All sales final. No refunds or exchanges. Carnival rides are subject to closure due to weather.

BEAT THE LINES

Rodeo Austin is a not-to-be-missed March attraction! We do anticipate large crowds during key times, which can result in long lines to purchase tickets on site. To ensure your best experience we recommend the following:

  1. Buy your admission tickets online. You can purchase ProRodeo & Concert, Fairgrounds, and Carnival Wristband tickets online! Buy now and skip the ticket line at the gate!
  2. Have your cash or credit card ready for the parking crew upon arrival. Parking is $20/car.
  3. Arrive early! Most crowds show up 1-2 hours before the ProRodeo & Concert starts, but the Fairgrounds opens daily at 10:00AM.

GETTING HERE

Directions:

Rodeo Austin is accessible through several highways and roads including: SH 130, HWY 183, HWY 290, FM 969 (MLK Blvd) and FM 973.

Use the address 9100 Decker Lake Road, Austin, TX 78724 for GPS. Austin roads are always a work in progress, so be on the lookout for construction that may cause traffic delays.

 

 

Parking:

Public parking is $20 per vehicle cash or credit card onsite, or now for purchase in advance online. Public parking is accessible through GATE 3 and GATE 4, on Decker Lake Road. Permits are required for GATE 1 and GATE 2, on Decker Lane. Rideshare patrons, livestock show exhibitors, and all buses please use GATE 1. We request all buses notify Rodeo Austin 24-hours in advance of your arrival at 512-919-3000.

RIDESHARE

Our Pick Up and Drop Off lot is specifically designated for patrons dropping off children or for those utilizing rideshare services. It is marked with signage to make it easy to locate. Patrons can access this area through Gate 1 on Decker Lane. Buses, limos and vans must also enter through Gate 1. Please call 512-919-3000 with any further questions.

SECURITY & BAG CHECK

All attendees are subject to a safety screening prior to entering the Rodeo Austin Fairgrounds (i.e., metal detector screening). All firearms, knives with fixed blades and/or blades longer than four inches, or weapons of any kind are prohibited, including concealed carry and open carry of firearms. Food items and outside drink are also prohibited, but exceptions for baby food/drink will be made.

Rodeo Austin does not restrict the size of bags allowed, nor does it enforce a clear bag policy for Rodeo Austin events. No coolers of any size are allowed, except for medical purposes.

ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESSIBILITY

Rodeo Austin offers accessible seating options in our Main Arena for guests with disabilities and their companions. These tickets are subject to a purchase limit of up to four (4) per order.. All patrons must have their own ticket. For online purchases, these tickets are designated as Accessible Seats.

Accessible parking is offered for guests with appropriate permits. Please have a permit available and visible for parking personnel upon entering the gates.

Rodeo Austin can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing impairments. Requests for this service should be made at least 72 hours prior to the event. For assistance, please call the Rodeo Austin Ticketing Department at 512-919-3000.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO

Commercial photography, videography, and filming are often conducted at Rodeo Austin. By entering the premises and/or purchasing an admission ticket, you consent to video recording and photography of your likeness and its/their release, publication, or reproduction that Rodeo Austin, and those acting pursuant to its authority, deem appropriate, including promotional, advertising, or public relations efforts.

By entering the premises and/or purchasing an admission ticket, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with use of these materials in any form, as well as any right to inspect, review, or approve any photo or video recording taken by Rodeo Austin in connection to the event.

Use or reproduction of photography, film, or video for commercial purposes is prohibited without written consent from Rodeo Austin. Professional photography, videography, or filming for personal use or professional use is prohibited without prior written approval.

WHAT CAN I BRING?

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Outside food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, and coolers of any size
  • Firearms, knives with fixed blades and/or blades longer than four inches, or weapons of any kind
  • Concealed carry and open carry firearms
  • Pets or emotional support animals
  • Fireworks, illegal substances, and items restricted by local, state, and federal laws.
  • Laser pointers, artificial noisemakers, drones
  • Skateboards, scooters, hoverboards or any other personalized vehicle, except in accordance with federal ADA requirements
  • Any other items deemed unsafe by Rodeo Austin personnel

ALLOWED ITEMS

  • Backpacks and purses of any size; no clear-bag policy enforced
  • Camera phones and other small, non-professional cameras
  • Strollers, milk/formula, baby food, and other items related to infants and toddlers
  • Service animals
