Covid Safety Update

In a season of great uncertainty, Rodeo Austin continues to keep Texas youth at the forefront of everything we do. Given the on-going circumstances of the pandemic, including the unavailability of portions of the Travis County Expo Center, the decision has been made to cancel the ProRodeo, Carnival, Fair and BBQ Austin events this March.

We do plan to host private youth competitions this March. This will include the Junior Livestock Show, Ag Mechanics Competition, Ultimate Scramble Championship and the Youth Auction. Thank you for your continued support!

Event Details:

LOCATION: Rodeo Austin Arena – Travis County Expo Center

Have you ever wondered what it felt like to walk on the dirt of a real rodeo arena or stand inside the barrel of a true rodeo clown? Then Rodeo Austin’s Kick Open the Chutes: Party on the Dirt, gives you the perfect chance! Rodeo Austin’s Kick Open the Chutes takes place the night before the fifteen-day fair & rodeo officially opens its gates! It is a pre-season party on the dirt! Tickets are general admission and grant guests access to select behind-the-scenes areas of the main rodeo arena, including the arena floor. Food for purchase will be available from some of our favorite local food trucks and cash bars will be open for guests over 21 years of age. Guests will also enjoy live music from the arena floor.

Please note – no rodeo performance will take place at this event.
