Free School Programs

Enjoy a FREE half-day program consisting of an educational tour with multiple stops, a picnic lunch in the Rodeo Arena and the opportunity to explore more on your own. Rodeo Austin School Tours is partnering with Hank the Cowdog’s Ranch Life Curriculum. The curriculum is FREE and follows along with Hank’s adventures in the Ranch Life series books. During Rodeo Austin, classes who have registered for School Tours will get to further experience Hank’s lifestyle through a ranch-style tour stop on the fairgrounds. Online registration begins on November 1, and classes are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Rodeo Austin invites Pre-K – 4th grade students to join us for the School Tours Program. The School Tours program provides a fun and unique opportunity for children to experience Western heritage. School Tours is a FREE half-day program (approximately 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) consisting of an educational tour with multiple stops, a picnic lunch in the Rodeo Arena and the opportunity to explore more on your own.

Our experience has shown that 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders get the most from the tours. To accommodate younger students, the first Monday of School Tours is focused on ages pre-kindergarten through 1st grade.

The popularity of this program requires that we take reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please submit all reservations as early as possible. You will be notified after receiving your submission to confirm your tour date.

Registration for 2021 will open on November 1, 2020. Check back soon!
