Free School Programs
Enjoy a FREE half-day program consisting of an educational tour with multiple stops, a picnic lunch in the Rodeo Arena and the opportunity to explore more on your own. Rodeo Austin School Tours is most ideal for K-4th grade students.
Registration for 2025 Rodeo Austin School Tours will open in November 2024.

What time does my tour start?
Rodeo Austin School Tours start running at 9AM. Your tour will start at the time that you selected upon registration – please do your best to arrive during your selected arrival window.
How long does my tour last?
School Tours can be as long or as short as you need them to be! Our tour will be guided through several stops and then you and your group will be free to explore the fairgrounds and all that it has to offer. We do ask that all buses are out of the parking lot by 1PM as people will begin to arrive that night for the rodeo and concert performances.
How much are the tours?
School Tours are free for all participants who have signed up including teachers and chaperones. Parking and gate passes will be provided to all teachers who register for a school tour.
Is there a minimum or maximum of people allowed on each tour?
There is no limit or minimum of who can come on a tour. We do ask that you register an accurate count of people so that Rodeo Austin volunteers can be prepared for your group to arrive.
How does lunch work?
Please utilize the lunch tag provided in your School Tours packet to mark 1 disposal box for all of the students/chaperones/teachers lunches. For your convenience, lunches will be taken from the bus to a seating location in the Luedecke Arena for lunchtime. You may enter the arena anytime between 10:30 and noon to begin lunch. Milk will be provided for all students courtesy of Southwest Dairy. You will be notified of your seating location upon entering the arena for lunch. It will be your responsibility to return any non-disposable containers to the bus after lunch is over. Lunch is NOT provided – please make arrangements to bring food to the grounds with you or food may be purchased on the grounds.
