The Rodeo Austin Junior Leader Program offers students in 9th-12th grade the opportunity to grow as leaders through workshops, events, and hands-on experiences throughout the year. This nine-month program is designed to build leadership and teamwork skills while encouraging purposeful community service activities.
Junior Leaders will participate in cooperative learning events, team-building activities, guest speaker presentations, projects, and more. In addition to personal growth opportunities, participants will work alongside Rodeo Austin volunteers during the annual two-week Rodeo event.
Please note: Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed. All applicants must complete an application and participate in an interview (in-person or virtual).
Program Requirements:

Be enrolled in 9th-12th grade
- Attend scheduled workshops/events during the fall and spring
- Complete 15 volunteer hours during BBQ Austin (March 6-7) and Rodeo Austin (March 13-28)
- Work cooperatively with an assigned group to design and present a Capstone project
