Austin, Texas, April 3, 2025 – Rodeo Austin wrapped up another record-breaking year of bringing heritage and entertainment to the community. More than 500,000 people joined Rodeo Austin throughout the 18 days of events in March to support the mission of growing the next generation of Texas kids.
The Cowboy Breakfast and BBQ Austin kicked off the March events for the organization. Approximately 5,000 people enjoyed a free breakfast at the Long Center on March 7th. The BBQ Austin competition had a record number of entries competing for the title of BBQ Austin Grand Champion and overall attendance for the two-day event was 50,953.
Rodeo Austin was proud to break more records during the 2025 event. The annual Fair & Rodeo, held March 14-29, welcomed 444,777 guests through the gates over the 16 days. As a top 10 ProRodeo, Rodeo Austin had 670 athletes competing and paid out over $685,000 to top cowboys and cowgirls. ProRodeo & Concert crowds hit a new record of 92,818 tickets printed and 8 sell-out nights.
The world-class Junior Livestock Show had a record number of entries this year. The culmination of the exhibitor’s hard work came on March 29th during the Youth Auction which raised nearly $3 million for the youth of Texas as of Saturday evening. Youth Auction add-ons are still open until April 11th for those that would like to contribute to these hard-working exhibitors.
The 2025 Rodeo Austin events were a huge success. In the coming months the organization will award more money in direct scholarship giving to Texas students. Don’t miss Rodeo Austin’s next events!
